The latest issue of Broken Arrow Magazine, published by the Neil Young Appreciation Society recently hit the streets and we're now finishing up reading the issue. As always a nice read -- especially as we look back while looking ahead.

The latest issue of Broken Arrow Magazine – number 126 – is now out with another interesting mixture of articles and photographs. Included in this issue, the conclusion of “Expecting To Fly”, Victoria Cavaleri’s surprising memoir from 1966 with a cast of characters that ranges from Marty Balin, Jack Casady, and Allen Ginsberg through to Dickie Davis, Gene Clark and Neil Young, to name but a few. It’s a fascinating read published here for the first time.

  1. Many thanks to Broken Arrow's Scott Sandie for sharing my story in his publication. Broken Arrow is a subscriber only magazine with under 1,000 readers and Expecting To Fly's remains unpublished with all ownership and copy write's owned by me. .
I also want to thank Broken Arrow's readers, their encouragement has been a real source of support and their friendship bless's my life. I am now a historian with an obligation to complete the journey into rock and rolls glorious past.

  2. It is hard to believe it has been 2 years since Expecting To Fly was featured in Broken Arrow. Just recently the publication's last copy was printed and the publishers closed their doors. They will be missed by the many fans and loyal supporters.

  3. Two years have passed and it is time that I complete what I started. A true story that includes many well known artists takes many hours of research and also photographs...things have to be just right.
I am fortunate that my dear friend, Nurit Wilde allowed her photos of Neil Young from 1966 to be used with my story in Broken Arrow. I don't think I thanked Nurit quite enough so here goes. Nurit without you there would have been a hole to deep to fill in my story...only your photographs could have captured the young Neil that I was writing about. Thanks for your friendship, its been nearly 50 years....through children and grandchildren.
This is as much your story as mine...

  4. Change is the only thing that we can be certain of, my book has been on hold while we developed a mini series proposal. Winter 2018 we hope to have a trailer for the miniseries and start knocking on Hollywood's doors. Thankfully, Jon Derovan is on board and brings years of experienced as a producer and director plus he is a gifted writer. I am grateful to have had his help from the beginning of Expecting To Fly!
